Wildlife are on the move

For deer, it’s mating season and for bears it’s time to fatten up for the winter.

That’s leading to a lot of encounters between people and wildlife

This morning a black bear strolled into a school in Bozeman, Montana and wandered the halls.

It got bored pretty fast, though, and left the building within about a minute.

And who could forget the so-called “pizza bear”?

A brown bear cub sneaked into Louie’s Pizza in Colorado Springs, curled up and helped himself to food in the kitchen.

Experts say this is the time of the year when people run into wild animals in the city.

“They’re on the move at the same time as people going to work, coming back from work especially this time of the year when it starts to get dark a little earlier,” said Frank McGee from Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Last week, high school football fans in Manitou Springs got a surprise when a deer ran around on the field during the Homecoming game.
