Pueblo murder victim identified

Pueblo Police say a 58-year-old woman will face a first degree murder charge in the death of her roommate.

He has been identified as Lee Rudolph, 60.

Police say they were called to the 900 block of Bragdon Ave. by a woman who said she found her roommate lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

The roommate, identified as Bonnie Fay Pier-Danzey, 58, was arrested Friday. She is being held at the Pueblo County Detention Center without bond.

The call for help came in at around 9 a.m. Thursday (10/8/15). First responders found the man dead when they arrived.

Kelly Bachman said she is a friend of the man who died. She said she’s going to miss her friend.

“I wish I could talk to him one more time. He was a great neighbor. He was very helpful to other neighbors I noticed, but I just pray the angels take him where he needs to be,” he said.

Police have not confirmed the man’s name. Police say there was evidence of blunt force trauma found on the man. An autopsy is pending.

It took police nearly eight hours to get a search warrant to investigate inside the home. Police said a judge has to sign off on a search warrant before it’s executed and they said it was a long day at court.
