Local lawmakers respond to first Democratic presidential debate

Republicans in Colorado are responding to the first Democratic presidential debate Tuesday night.

The Colorado GOP said in a statement, “”The latest show in Sin City wasn’t Cirque du Soleil, but it definitely had more tricks and flips than anything else showing on the Las Vegas Strip.

“Tonight, it became painfully obvious that none of the Democratic Party’s candidates understand the challenges facing families right here in Colorado. The only answer we heard from then tonight was ‘more of the same; attack our energy economy, propose to take away our 2nd amendment rights and raise taxes on job creators. They want more of the same policies that have pushed our nation’s economy to the brink, and continue Obama’s international agenda that has made our country and world less secure.

“Coloradans are ready to elect a Republican president in order to turn the page on Obama disastrous legacy.”
