2 injured owls released in Colorado Springs

It was a welcome home for two injured owls in Colorado Springs Monday night.

The owls were found injured and taken to the Ellicott Wildlife Center to recover.

The two people who found those owls got to release them in the Mountain Shadows neighborhood in Colorado Springs.

That includes Doug Pinney who found an owl in his yard.

“When I picked him up, he was laying the ground that morning,” Pinney said. “He wasn’t able to move at all. His eyes were closed until I picked him up. I didn’t think he was gonna make it.”

Both owls made full recoveries.
