Pueblo firefighters help save dog struggling in fire

Pueblo firefighters are being called heroes after saving a small dog during a fire.

It happened in Pueblo on Veta Avenue Friday at 10 p.m.

A woman and her three dogs escaped the fire, but at the time one dog was having trouble getting out. That’s when several firefighters helped the dog, using special equipment made for pets.

No one was hurt. Pueblo Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
