Standoff inside Arvada police headquarters ends peacefully
An armed man has been arrested after police say, he barricaded himself in the lobby of the Arvada Police Department headquarters.
Police say the man was armed with a gun and a knife. Officers say he walked into the building around 6:15 p.m. Friday and began making suicidal threats.
The man held officers at bay for more than three hours before putting the gun down and surrendering to police outside with his hands on his head.
The man, whose name has not been released, did not take any hostages.
