Denver Botox bandit bolts on $900 bill

Employees at a Denver doctor’s office say a man received $900 worth of wrinkle treatment and then bolted from the waiting room when it came time to pay.

KUSA-TV reports the man was injected with the wrinkle treatments Botox and Sculptra at Vitahl Medical Aesthetics in the upscale Cherry Creek neighborhood Thursday. When it came time to pay, his credit card didn’t work and he ran out the door.

The alleged Botox bandit provided bogus medical and contact information, putting a wrinkle in police efforts to track him down. But employees took multiple photos of him, which he agreed to, before the injections.

Dr. Tahl Humes, Vitahl’s medical director, says from now on employees will photocopy identification cards, and patients will have to pay for some procedures beforehand.
