Crane pulls down traffic signal cables at Colorado Springs intersection
The intersection of Briargate Blvd. and Lexington Dr. was closed Friday afternoon after an accident involving a crane.
The crane was up when the operator drove through the intersection, snagging the traffic signal cables and pulling them down.
All but one of the traffic lights at the intersection was damaged.
It’s unknown how long the intersection will be shut down.
The city is planning on installing stop signs until the traffic lights can be replaced.
