SUV crashes into Colo. Springs home damaging garage

An SUV crashed into a home in Colorado Springs Wednesday, leaving thousands of dollars worth of damage.

The crash happened in the morning, on a culdesac off Constitution Avenue near Powers Boulevard. Police said the driver was 26-year-old Tara Studer.

She faces multiple charges, including careless driving, hit-and-run, driving without insurance, and possession of ID documents, for having identification documents that weren’t hers.

Police said Studer was driving on Constitution Avenue, when she hit a fence, knocked down the community mailboxes and crashed into the home.
