Shot fired during robbery at Colorado Springs liquor store
Colorado Springs police are searching for the suspect who opened fire during an armed robbery at Drive-In Liquors.
It happened Sunday evening at the liquor store at 141 North Spruce Street.
Police said the suspect fired at least one shot inside of the store.
Nelson Rosado Perez was working the cash register when the robber came in.
“This was his third time in the store so I didn’t think much of it,” he said. “But he had the gun already out of the holster and just popped one off.”
Rosado Perez said the man fired three shots, one of which hit the computer about a foot away from where Rosado Perez was standing.
“I still don’t even know what to think. You’re just in shock,” he said. “My ears were ringing and I didn’t know what to do so I gave him the money.
No one was hit.
The suspect fled in a small, white, four-door Acura.
