Cheyenne Mountain Zoo hosts military appreciation week

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is thanking members of the military this week with a special discount.

It’s part of military appreciation week at the zoo.

Military members and their families will be given a special rate of $5.25 per person through Sunday.

The discount is for any active duty or retired service member with a valid military ID and family members who live in their home.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo said the annual event is a way to give back to service members who protect our country.

“It’s our way of saying thank you to our military, and it’s our animal’s way of saying thank you to the military as well,” said Erica Meyer, public relations manager for the zoo. “We hope families will come out and enjoy the zoo and just let us say thank you to them.”
