Hundreds of vehicles on display at annual auto show

Car enthusiasts in Southern Colorado are getting a closer look at some of this year’s newest vehicles.

Dozens of dealerships from across Colorado Springs are showing off their latest cars, trucks and SUVs at the 2015 Ent Pikes Peak International Auto Show.

“It’s a great opportunity for the people here to just see everything at one time and one place. It’s so convenient,” saidBob Fenton, executive director of the Colorado Springs Auto Dealers Association. “You have 300 cars of all various makes and models to look at.”

The 3-day auto show features several major car manufactures at the Broadmoor World Arena. A variety of vehicles are on display in and outside of the arena.

“You might be interested in a sedan or crossover, and here you can really look at six, eight or ten different varieties and compare side-by-side,” saidBuddy Catron, a car enthusiast. “They have a lot more vehicles than you normally see and it’s good to see all kinds of different brands.”

Car shoppers are able to ask questions and compare similar vehicles from dealerships across the city.

“I’m looking for an SUV,” said shopper John Harrison. “You can compare as many as you want. You don’t have any pressure here at all. It’s great.”

The 2015 Ent Pikes Peak International Auto Show continues on Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
