Woman’s car windows shattered by bullets from passing car
Police say a woman suffered minor injuries when gunshots were fired from a passing vehicle, shattering her car windows.
Denver police spokeswoman Christine Downs says the shooting happened early Thursday as the woman was driving on I-225 about a mile south of Parker Road. Detectives believe the shooting is isolated but are still investigating whether it was random. The woman did not give a good description of the suspect’s car.
Downs says the shooting does not appear to be related to a series of apparently random roadside shootings that happened in northern Colorado earlier this year, nor to a spate of freeway shootings in the Phoenix area this week.
