Air Force Academy Class of ’95 sends message to out of this world classmate

The Air Force Academy’s class of 1995 found a creative way to include a graduate who couldn’t make it to this year’s reunion because he’s traveling for work.

In space.

Kjell Lindgren is a NASA Astronaut who is currently living on the International Space Station.

The class of ’95, which is holding its class reunion this week, wrote out the letters KTP — for Keep the Pride, the class moto — and the number 95, in the grass on the Terrazzo.

The letters and numbers were made with sheets in hopes that they would be visible from the space station, and it apparently worked.

The photo at the top of this article was shared with KRDO NewsChannel 13 Thursday evening and purportedly was taken by Lindgren from the space station.

The sheets were donated by local hotels.
