Water main break causes sinkhole in Colorado Springs

Drivers are being asked to avoid the intersection of Vickers Dr. and Del Paz Dr. in Colorado Springs because of a sinkhole caused by a water main break.

Northbound access to Del Paz Dr. is closed at Vickers Dr.

Police say the break caused a 10 ft. x 30 ft. sinkhole early Friday morning.

Colorado Springs Utilities crews are working on repairs. There’s no estimate when that work will be done.

Ten homes are without water.
