Man arrested after serious crash

Colorado Springs police arrested a man involved in a crash that sent eight people to the hospital Sunday night (8/30/15).

The crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. on N. Academy Blvd. near Palmer Park Blvd.

Of the eight people who were taken to the hospital, police say five suffered significant injuries.

Police suspect one of the drivers was driving drunk. Speed is also believed to be a factor in the crash.

Jonton Igwonobe was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault.
