UPDATE: Driver arrested after motorcycle accident on I-25

Colorado Springs Police have reopened I-25 after a motorcycle crash at the Cimarron exit.

Investigators say the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

The Major Accident Unit is assisting with the investigation, which is ongoing.

The southbound lanes of I-25 was closed between E. Bijou and Cimarron during the investigation and cleanup. The interstate was reopened around 11 p.m. Saturday.

The driver of the motorcycle, identified asRobert Ahern was arrested, and is facing charges of vehicular assault and driving under the influence.
