Colorado Springs VA clinic celebrates first anniversary
The Veterans Affairs clinic in Colorado Springs celebrated its one year anniversary Friday with an open house.
The clinic is located at 3141 Centennial Boulevard and is named after Pfc. Floyd K. Lindstrom, a regional Medal of Honor recipient.
Since opening, the clinic has served 23,000 unique veterans, according to regional manager Nathan Nidiffer.
“People love Colorado and southern Colorado, so of course, they’re going to stay here when they actually retire or transition out of the military, and that’s why it’s critical to maintain these services here inside this clinic,” Nidiffer said.
The clinic replaces several older ones in the region, offering veterans a range of services, including primary care to physical therapy and dental care.
