Animal Law Enforcement Sergeant crawls through storm drain to save kitten

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region says one of its Animal Law Enforcement Officers went above and beyond by going underground to save a stranded kitty.

The rescue happened at around 10 a.m. on August 25, 2015 near the intersection of W. Pikes Peak Ave. and 36th Street on the west side of Colorado Springs.

The humane society says Sergeant Ryan McFadden crawled through a storm drain to save the trapped kitten.

The humane society named the feline “Stormy” and scheduled a full medical exam for 3:30 p.m.

The Humane Society provided KRDO NewsChannel 13 with video from the scene of the rescue, which you can watch below.
