property will be put up for adoption. m? @e this case has sparked interep sparked interest and outcry around the world. from the first day the neglected horses were found … to today’s sentencing. krdo newschannel 13’s rana novini joins us now. rana .. many people have been anxiously waiting for this day. it all started in september when a neighbor accidentally found the dead and neglected horses. only our cameras were there before even sheriff’s deputies arrived. we need to warn you … some of this video is disturbing. “there’s more bodies. there’s way more than i thought.”bn than i thought. little did she ?? know … diana ragula was living next door to a hidden graveyard. “all these are dead bodies. one, two, three, four, five.. there’s a bunch of them in here.” shock… “wow,9 8?8 here’s another.” quickly turned to anger .. “i’ pissed. i’m pretty mad anx and these peoplekp don’t seem to care about anything.” especially when ragula discovered there were more horses. ten of them… barely alive … “there’s nothing in “there’s nothing in an of these pans.” living among the 14 dead. dual peppy … a prized former cutting horse … was among them.. the most emaciated of the survivors. “look at the ribs on these hoses. ribs, ribs, ribs. that one’s going to die next.” outrage grew as it took three days for the living horses to be seized from sherri brunzell’s property. the sheriff’s office said the horses were not in immediate danger. days later … the horses were taken to a rehabilitation center. even dual peppy … started to look better. several llamas were also saved … ano? o?g? … and taken to the humane society. “there’s a real emotional damage that’s done to these sensitive creatures. as horse advocates ?? awaited the trial … another setback. investigators couldn’t prove how brunzell’s horses died. meaning no charges for the horses that didn’t survive. :16 “we tried. we sen out the bones to see what we could figure out the cause of death and we just couldn’t figure out.” in the end … 60 days in jail and five years probation for brunzell. during that time … she can’t have any livestock. :55 “the sheriff’s office and the humane society also is allowed to do random inspections throughout that five years on her property to make sure there are none there.” bringing an end … … to the???????? horror discovered inside this barn. the survivnig horses and llamas will be sold or adopted out. brunzell will start her 60 day jail time after a hearing next month. reporting live in studio, rana novini krdo newschannel
