Police: Guns, drugs and cash recovered during traffic stop

Police say a man is facing numerous charges after being pulled over in Pueblo Thursday night.

The traffic stop happened just before midnight on August 20, 2015 in the 2000 block of Troy Ave.

Police say two guns were found in the black Honda Civic driven by James Golden, 35. They say one of the guns had been reported stolen from Colorado Springs.

Police say meth, heroin, suspected LSD and a variety of pills were also found in the car along with scales, drug packaging materials and more than $1,300 in cash.

Golden was arrested and faces charges for possession with intent to distribute, possession of a weapon by a previous offender and theft.

Police say Golden was also suspected in an attempted vehicular assault that happened a few days before his arrest. He faces charges for attempted vehicular assault, criminal mischief and possession of a weapon by a previous offender for that incident.
