Motorcyclist injured in Colo. Springs crash

A motorcyclist from injuries in a crash in Colorado Springs Thursday.

It happened on Peterson Road, south of Barnes Road in the city’s east side around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The dirver, Justin Schmidt, lost control of his motorcylce and crashed, police said. He suffered several injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The extent of those injuries is unknown, police said.

Drug, alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors, police said.
