More broken windows reported on northern Colorado highways

Two new cases of vehicle windows shattering on northern Colorado highways have been reported in the past 24 hours, KMGH reported.

The most recent incident happened on I-25 near Loveland Friday morning. A UPS truck driver was injured when his driver’s side window shattered. Leland Sloan, 59, of Parker suffered an eye injury, according to KDVR.

Loveland Police tell KMGH there is no evidence that a bullet damaged the window.

The Coloradoan reports that a truck driver’s window shattered on I-25 north of Fort Collins on Thursday. He was not hurt. The cause has not been determined.

A special task force was established earlier this year after several northern Colorado drivers reported shattered windows while driving on I-25. Gunfire was only confirmed as the cause in one of those cases.
