Toddler apparently escapes serious injury in fall from third story window

Colorado Springs Police responded to a report of a toddler falling from a third story window late Monday morning.

The call for help came in at 11:11 a.m. from the 5900 block of Vista Ridge Point, near Vickers Dr. and Rangewood Dr. on the northeast side of town.

Authorities say the two year old girl was looking out the window at a swimming pool below when she leaned against the screen. They say the bottom corner of the screen came out of the frame and the girl fell, landing on some bushes.

Authorities say the girl is awake and talking and they do not believe she suffered any serious injuries in the fall.
