Investigators will look into fire at vacant house in Pueblo

Investigators will look into a fire that heavily damaged a vacant house in Pueblo early Sunday.

The call came in just before 3 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found the vacant house at 1701 E 14th Street heavily involved in flames.

By 4:15 a.m., firefighters had the fire control but were still working on patches of the home that were still smouldering.

A firefighter with Pueblo Fire Department said investigators would go into the home after sunrise. He said firefighters have not been able to go inside because it’s believed the structure is unsafe.

No one was home at the time. No firefighters were injured and no other homes were threatened.
