UPDATE: Suspect in Springs motel shooting arrested

Colorado Springs Police arrested a man they say was behind a shooting that put another man in the hospital in critical condition.

Police say Dashawn Lipscomb, 33, was contacted my members of the Safe Streets Task Force on Saturday, August 8. He is facing charges for first degree attempted murder.

The shooting victim was last listed in critical and unstable condition.

The shooting happened outside the 4 U Motel apartments in the 1100 block of S. Nevada Ave. It was reported at 4:51 a.m. on August 3, 2015.

The man, who was shot multiple times, was rushed into surgery according to police.
