Fire department douses liquor store fire

Colorado Springs firefighters have extinguished a fire at J’s Liquor in the 100 block of East Fillmore Street.

The fire began in a nearby dumpster, and spread to the building around 2 Sunday morning. At least five fire trucks were sent to the scene.

The exact cause of the fire is unknown, but an investigation is underway. Damage to the building was severe.
