Report: Man who murdered Aspen woman commits suicide at Caon City prison

A man who was convicted of murdering an Aspen woman last year has killed himself, The Denver Post reports.

Ex-anesthesiologist William Styler pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for killing Nancy Pfister. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The Denver Post report says Styler was serving his sentence at Arrowhead Correctional Center. The newspaper says that’s where Styler killed himself, according to his wife, who reportedly said his body was found hanged in his cell this morning.

The Post report says that Styler confessed to killing Pfister by hitting her head with a hammer while she was sleeping in February 2014.
