Group looking for moratorium on proposed Monument methadone clinic
A group trying to stop a methadone clinic from opening in Monument is asking the town’s Board of Trustees for a moratorium on the project.
The group packed the board’s meeting Monday night.
Trustees decided they may hold a special meeting Friday night to discuss the moratorium. Or they will put it on the agenda for the next meeting in two weeks.
KRDO Newschannel 13 first reported about the possible clinic opening in Monument in early July. It would be located across from Limbach Park and about a mile away from a school.
Dozens have packed several meetings to show they are upset with the project.
