Complaints about door to door magazine salesmen rising in El Paso County

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says it has received numerous complaints about the behavior of door to door magazine salesmen who work for a single company.

The sheriff’s office says the complaints it has received about KLMN Readers Inc. employees include rude and intimidating behavior, making inappropriate and profane comments to residents, peering in windows and not leaving right away when told to do so.

KLMN Readers Inc. is based in Chesapeake, VA. The sheriff’s office says the company is listed as being a “second chance” job opportunity for people who have had criminal charges filed against them in the past.

The Better Business Bureau has given the company an “F” rating. It says a total of 320 complaints have been filed against KLMN Readers Inc., 218 of them for delivery issues.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says that if you feel you have been victimized by KLMN Readers Inc. representatives, you should call 719-390-5555 to report it.
