Suspicious death investigation in Rocky Ford

A suspicious death investigation is underway in Rocky Ford.

Officials say, Rocky Ford police received a 911 call from a woman just before 7 a.m. Friday morning stating that there was an unresponsive woman at a home in the 600 block of South 8th Street.

When police arrived, they found the woman’s body.

A joint criminal investigation into the suspicious death is now underway.

Officials say, a person of interest is in custody.

Identities of the parties involved are not being released at this time.
