The Pueblo Police Department says it is looking for the driver of an SUV that hit a man who was walking in the 1800 block of E. 12th Street.

Police say the 25-year-old victim was walking when a dark green Honda CRV pulled up next to him. Police say there were four teenage males in the SUV and that one of them asked the man if he banged.

The man told police that he asked the teens to leave him alone and that as soon as he started to walk away, they began chasing him. Police say the SUV ran over the man’s legs, breaking one of his legs and a knee cap. They say the teens were throwing up gang signs and yelling gang slurs as they drove away. The CRV was last seen southbound on Queens Ave.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 719-542-7867.
