Family Displaced After Early Morning Fire in Colorado Springs

A family of four is without a home after an early morning fire on July 23 in Colorado Springs. Firefighters responded to a fire in the 800 block of East Fountain Boulevard.

Three adults and one child safely escaped the home. One person suffered a minor injury, but was treated at the scene. Fire crews say a smoke detector was working.

Officials say the fire may have started in the kitchen and spread to the bedrooms. The Red Cross is helping the family.
