Flag burned at Colorado Springs City Hall
Colorado Springs police are investigating after someone burned the flag at city hall.
Just after 5 a.m. Tuesday, police got the call that a partially burned flag had been found on a statue in front of city hall.
Officers determined that someone had cut the nylon cord to release the flag from the pole in front of the building and then burned it.
There was no note or graffiti left behind.
Police are still investigating. They have looked at surveillance video from city hall and surrounding businesses, but the cameras didn’t capture the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (719) 634-STOP (7867) or police (719) 444-7000
