Cripple Creek casinos begin round-the-clock liquor sales

cripple creek is now home to the most all-day liquor sale businesses in the state. this comes after the city council approved around the clock alcohol sales last week.. in order to boost business. so we went up to check how it’s going … not that the first weekend’s in the books. krdo newschannel 13’s zach pagano tells us ‘if’ the gambling town is seeing an impact on business and police enforcement. inside cripple creek casinos…nv you won’t be hearing “last call” at seven of the city’s casinos. they’re taking round- the-clock liquor sales for a spin. i think it might draw more people up here to drink. my main concern is that they rent a room and not drive down the mountain cripple creek has made a name for itself in colorado’s tourism industry. but locals don’t think liquor availablity is why people come to town. i’d probably say the scenery and the gambling because?? there’s more to do here besides just that .. after the first weekend of 24- hour alcohol sales… police say not much has changed. everything has just been status quo. people are just enjoying their alcohol a little bit longer standup- cripple creek police say this new policy does not change the way they enforce the law. they want visitors to drink responsibly — so they can focus on these flashing lights and not a different ?????[?z a different set of flashing lights. the alcohol offenses related to drinking are still the same. nothing is going to change. if you decide you’re going to enjoy it too much and get in a car, we’ll be waiting for you. d-u-is are a concern for police and for people who call cripple creek home. if you can afford to come up here and gamble your money, then you can afford to rent a room because it’s never worth your life or anybody else’s. the city wants people to enjoy their time and not take a gamble with their safety. in cripple creek, zach pagano krdo newschannel 13. you can’t buy all-day alcohol at every casino in cripple creek yet. most of the businesses are waiting for approval from the colorado division of revenue… that approval could happen later this week.
