Neighborhood Weather Network gets even bigger

The Stormtracker 13 Weather Team has brought residents southern Colorado’s most comprehensive camera network for years.

On Friday, this network was expanded even further to include more locations across southern Colorado.

“To help when you guys are seeing a tornado forming. To be able to look at real time and say, here’s those extra few minutes or seconds to get folks to safety. That’s really what we envision with this,” said Paul Sherman, president of sales and marketing with Viaero Wireless.

Springfield, Kim, Lamar and La Junta are just a few of the new cameras people will see featured on KRDO Newschannel 13.

“These are full HD cameras. They pan 360 degrees. They can zoom from, on a clear day, 20 miles out,” said Sherman.

More cameras will be added through the end of the month. To see the cameras, click here.
