Witness: One of two people found dead in El Paso County field seen bound, leaping from second story window days before

Colorado Springs Police say two people who disappeared after one of them was reportedly assaulted have been found dead, and now investigators are trying to figure out who is responsible.

The victims’ names have not been released, and police do not have any suspects in the case. Police are asking you to be on the lookout for the original assault victim’s car. It’s described as a white four door Nissan Altima. No license plate number is available.

Police say this all started on Sunday July 12, 2015, at around 11:30 p.m. when officers were called to the 1400 block of Jet Wing Circle to investigate an assault. When officers arrived, the victim and a woman he was with were nowhere to be found.

On Monday July 13, 2015, at around 4 p.m., police say the body of a man and a woman were found near Falcon Highway and Baggett Road in unincorporated El Paso County.

Police say that on Tuesday July 14, 2015, investigators confirmed that the bodies where those of the man and women who were missing from the Jet Wing Circle assault call. They say the man died of blunt force trauma and the woman died from a gun-shot wound. Both deaths have been ruled homicides.

A witness told KRDO Newschannel 13 they saw the assault Sunday night, but would not go on camera, fearing for their safety. The man fell out of a window in the home on Jet Wing drive and ran away, he said. Then four men chased him and beat him, the witness said.

Police say the man has not been identified yet. The woman has been identified, but her name will not be released until her family is notified of her death.
