FCSO: Man wanted for lewd acts on a child in California arrested in Caon City
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says a fight between friends led to one of them being arrested for crimes he’s accused of committing in California.
Travis Bomar, 19, was arrested in the 3000 block of Highway 50 in Canon City on July 14, 2015.
The sheriff’s office says deputies were called to the County Green Apartments to investigate a report of a fight involving a knife. It says that when deputies arrived, Bomar told them that he had been arguing with his friend Timothy Caprio and that Caprio had a knife.
Caprio was arrested faces charges for menacing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, but he’s not the only one who went to jail.
The sheriff’s office says Bomar was also arrested after deputies discovered that he was wanted on a felony warrant out of California. He faces charges for lewd acts on a child and rape with drugs in the golden state.
Bomar is being held at the Fremont County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
