Springs survey results show maintenance is top priority

Maintenance is a top concern for Colorado Springs residents, according to results of a survey released Monday.

The city of Colorado Springs put out a survey in June, to gather feedback, as leaders work on the 2016 budget. The 2016 budget survey asked residents to rank their priorities.

Maintaining roads, bridges, drainage and public buildings ranked at number one. Keeping citizens safe ranked at number two. Enhancing the local economy ranked at number three. Improving parks, trails, open space, and cultural/recreational activities ranked at number four and expanding multi-modal transportation options ranked at number five.

More than 2,500 people responded to the survey, 0.6 percent of the city’s population.

The results will be considered as leaders work on the city budget.

Here are the full results of the survey.
