Overnight lane closure planned for I-25 between Garden of the Gods and Rockrimmon
The Colorado Department of Transportation says a few extra bumps in the road are necessary to smooth out the drive between two major Colorado Springs interchanges.
The northbound acceleration lane from Garden of the Gods Rd. to Rockrimmon Blvd. will be closed between 9 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday.
CDOT says workers will be drilling for soil samples as part of a future project to smooth out the roadway through that area.
A second, identical closure may be necessary Tuesday night if the work is not completed tonight.
