Last night for I-25 closure at Fillmore
Good news for drivers — Monday night will be the last night of construction-related closures on Interstate 25 at Fillmore.
Colorado Department of Transportation crews said they are actually ahead of schedule on the work, because the southbound lane girders are done, so only the northbound lanes will close Monday night.
They’ll be closed from 9 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday. While the highway is closed, traffic will detour via the exit and entrance ramps to allow crews to place the remaining girders on the interchange.
ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC DETOURS:
Southbound I-25 – can access westbound Fillmore. For eastbound Fillmore, drivers should exit at Garden of the Gods Road or Fontanero Street.
Northbound I-25 – can access eastbound Fillmore. For westbound Fillmore, drivers should exit at Garden of the Gods.
Eastbound Fillmore – can access southbound I-25. For northbound I-25, drivers should take southbound I-25 to Fontanero and turnaround to access northbound I-25.
Westbound Fillmore – can access northbound I-25. For southbound I-25, drivers should go north on I-25 to Garden of the Gods and turnaround to access southbound I-25.
The entire project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2016.
