Pueblo police say missing man who was last seen in Pueblo could be in Denver

Pueblo police say a Facebook tip could lead them to finding a missing man from Kansas City, Kansas.

Family members tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 that Justin Barber said he was going to respond to a Craigslist ad for an apartment in Pueblo. They haven’t heard from him since.

Police say a dispatcher found a tip on Facebook that said someone sold Barber a bus ticket in Pueblo on Wednesday to Denver.

“It’s gut wrenching. He is not familiar with this area. I’m just really worried about him. It’s hard for all of us,” Barber’s cousin Shelia Baker said.

Barber’s family last heard from the 30-year-old on Tuesday night. They say he suffers from mental illness and needs medication.

Family members say Barber is likely wearing a camel-colored trench coat and sunglasses. They say he was at a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Pueblo when they last heard from him and that his phone has been off since around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

You’re asked to call Pueblo police at 553-2538 if you have any information about Barber.
