Man Injured in Sword Fighting Incident

Colorado Springs Police say one man was injured, and another arrested, after two brothers got into a sword fighting incident.

It happened on the 2700 block of E. Yampa Street, around 3:30 Saturday (07/11/15) morning.

Officers say the two brothers got into a verbal altercation, when one of them grabbed a sword and hit the other in the face with it. The victim received facial lacerations, but police don’t say how serious the injuries are.

The suspect, who police identified as Patrick Duran, was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

Police did not say what type of sword was used in the fight.
