Cheyenne Mountain Zoo gift shop affected by data breach

People who shopped at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo gift shop between late March and late June may be at risk for identity theft.

The zoo works with a company called Service Systems Associates to provide its retail systems. That company recently suffered a credit card breach.

The zoo says only its gift shop was affected. It says people who used credit or debit cards for concession stands, restaurants, admission, donations, and memberships were not affected.

Anyone who made purchases at the gift shop between March 23 and June 25 of this year is urged to carefully check their credit or debit card statements and to contact their card issuer if they find any fraud.
