Hit gas line slows Monday evening commute
The Colorado Springs Fire Department says a construction crew hit a gas line at a west side project site Monday.
The incident happened in the 3300 block of N. Chestnut St. where a new extended stay hotel is under construction.
The fire department said southbound Chestnut was closed Monday afternoon.
The line has been clamped, but it’s unknown when southbound Chestnut will reopen.
