Monument Fourth of July Parade
the tri-lakes community celebrated independence day in style. thousands gathered to see the annual fourth of july parade in monument. krdo newschannel 13’s zach pagano gives us a first- row view of the action. it’s a big celebration with a small town feel. this year’s fourth of july parade in monument is starting with a bang. a lot of local folks come by and the kids are in the parade and everything else and just local vendors and a real good time to be had by all. smaller patriots helped kick off the celebrations. the children’s parade is really cool'< is really cool b is rea is really cool because the little kids, the really small kids get a chance to get up close and it’s a little less intimidating and scary for them. with nearly everyone in red, white and blue … it’s hard not to celebrate independence. i think more and more every year this is probably a really vital thing to show the younger generation and prove to the younger generation what america really stands for and what it was built on. july fourth is about more than food and having fun. it’s something we do for a tradition perspective. but it’s also really nice to take an important step back and really focus on what the holiday is about in general so it’s an opportunity for us as a family to do that. and people are taking time to recognize those who make this all possible. i just want to thank all of our military that are active and past. whether they’ve been deployed or not, the sacrifice that they have given us so that we can stand here and celebrate this is pretty cool. in monument, zach pagano, krdo newschannel 13. after the
