Man wanted in woman’s slaying found near Trappers Lake
A man sought in connection with the death of a young woman near Steamboat Springs has been found.
Twenty-two-year-old Cole J. Pollard was found Wednesday morning at the Trappers Lake recreational area following a search lasting several hours.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office says Pollard is being returned to Routt County, where he has been named a person of interest in the slaying of 22-year-old Patricia Richmond.
Richmond’s body was found tied up and face down in the home of her fiance’s parents, Amy and Russell West, on Monday near the community of Clark north of Steamboat Springs. Sheriff Garrett Wiggins says Pollard is a distant cousin of Richmond’s fiance.
A vehicle matching the description of one being driven by Pollard was found Tuesday evening near Trappers Lake.
