Fire crews investigating early morning house fire in Pueblo

Fire crews are investigating an early morning house fire in Pueblo.

It happened around 6:45 Tuesday morning in the 1000 block ofEast Abriendo Avenue.

Fire officials say, a 68-year-old man was rescued from the home and taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. He is expected to be okay.

Four dogs were also inside the home at the time of the fire. Firefighters rescued two of the dogs. The other two made it out of the home on their own. The dogs were taken to an animal hospital for evaluation and are expected to be okay.

No word yet on what caused the fire or how much damage was done to the home.
