Man faces attempted murder after using knife on two victims & himself

Colorado Springs Police were notified around 4:30 Sunday morningof a disturbance that ultimately resulted in the stabbing injury to two people.

Police say 22-year-old Donicio McQuilliams used a knife to try to stab the first victim in the chest. This initial assault did not cause any substantial injury to this victim, but the suspect, McQuilliams, then began to cut his own arm and chest. Although creating dramatic wounds, McQuilliams did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.

A third person attempted to intervene, and received a severe cut to their hand. McQuilliams was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and then to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center where he was charged with attempted murder and assault in the first degree.
