Toddler suffers skull fracture in fall from Colorado Springs window

Colorado Springs Police say a little boy was seriously injured when he fell from a second story window Friday.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. in the 6000 block of Desoto Dr., which is on the east side of the city.

Police said the 20-month-old was awake and crying and they initially thought his injuries were not serious.

It was later determined that the boy suffered a skull fracture in the fall. He was flown to Denver Children’s Hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the fall are under investigation.
